Fishing(time by the river)
So heres my first go at this , to start a quick review of the fishing .
I have fished now for many years mostly with my dad , my first memories are of long walks through local fields which seemed to be filled with a golden brown harvest , each edge with all types of wildlife . He told me so much about each new thing we saw looking back it was the whole experience that made each trip enjoyable .
This continued all the way through my youth and it was only my marriage and a new found love (or hate) for Golf that gave me a break from the riverside .
Once you are close to the river and the fish that swim its glides and pools you can never escape it's grip , every bridge you cross seems to call on your soul to gaze longingly over into the water below for just a glimpse of what may swim there , even when stopping is not an option a look for the tell tale signs of a moving fish or some lucky bloke doing at that moment what you also inside crave is never far away.
So what is fishing to me ? well it is about fooling your quarry ,the excitement as a float dips or a fly is sipped from the surface the electricity that flows down the line through your rod, reel and into your fingers but also much , much more .

''A Thought''
A simple philosophy I have adopted over the years has been tested and re-enforced in the past few weeks. It is to celebrate those good and pleasing things encountered in daily life, no matter how small, with at least the same vigour as I bemoan the bad or merely vexing.
